Musical Theatre performer, Ashley Vankirk, joined Tutu Tales Party Productions in August and she exclaimed that "this has been one of my most rewarding jobs." She was drawn to the company because they specialize in singing performers and they have a lot of volunteer opportunities. Becoming such iconic characters for the pure joy of children has been such a great experience. It has taught her a lot about in depth character study and has been a huge improv exercise.

 

Through this job, Ashley has learned to become more in tune with her movement and vocal tones and inflections as each character is so different and specific. Unlike portraying a character at a park, there is a larger variety of characters she can portray so she doesn't settle into a set one or two, she is always kept on her toes and loves that variety.

 

Tutu Tales offers very fun special events that always include performances. Some of the most special events Ashley has been a part of are the volunteer events including doing a meet and greet/photo op at multiple runs for cancer research, meeting a child with a condition that wouldn’t allow her to travel to the theme parks, the Florida kids expo, and more.

 

All so rewarding because it makes these kids so happy!
