Ashley is from a small town in central California called Valley Springs. The county is famous for the Jumping Frog Jubilee started by Mark Twain in which Ashley has participated in since she was in second grade.
She first got a taste of performing when she did ballet and tap as a two year old- she continued dancing throughout her elementary years and gained an interest in all of her art related classes and activities at school. She loved her music and singing classes, played the flute, joined choir and drama in middle school and there was no turning back from there. Her passion truly took off when she discovered musical theatre and had her first lead role as Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof.
When she discovered AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) and got a taste of the curriculum that was offered she was set on going and dedicated many months towards her audition, getting in was a big step and she now has her BFA in Musical theatre. AMDA gave her the training she always wanted, the knowledge of the business she needed, and a confidence in her artistry.
She has since been creating great opportunities for herself, starting with creating a business as a musical theatre repertoire consultant (Matchmaker: Find Me a Song), and working at all the theme parks in Central Florida, where she currently resides. After years of freelancing and working seasonal at the parks, she was offered a full time actor role opening the new Epic Universe where she is also a trainer for her role. She is still actively working some of her favorite other jobs including Seaworld (Dolphin Adventures Host, Big Bird Storytime and Stilts), Gaylord Palms as a seasonal actor, and Capone's Underground (An ongoing dinner show where she portrays one of the lead roles, Bunny June).
Along with the full time theme park work she is happy to follow her true passions in theatre and film. Though there is not too much film in Orlando, Ashley has been very successful in the commercial market. She also has fallen in love with the Orlando theatre scene. There are so many wonderful local theaters she is grateful to have performed at in countless productions. Her absolute favorites have been To Kill a Mockingbird at Theater West End, The Little Mermaid at Theatre St Lukes, The Crucible and Into the Woods at Penguin Point, Melina with Central Florida Vocal Arts and Seussical with Breakthrough Theater.
When she isn’t performing or working she enjoys listening to new musicals, ice skating, Thrift shopping, painting and crafting. She is very happy with the journey and thanks you for your interest!
